My name is Rex Hobbs.
I have been in the construction business for over 35 years.
I was in business for myself in San Diego ,Ca for 20+ years. Ever since I can remember I have always loved working with wood. I have 5 kids. They all have had different kinds of animals that I would make exotic homes for. When their pet would pass on I would make a framed picture of their pet or a head stone with a picture of their pet on it.
The carvings I made were take offs from original pictures. When I would do upgrades to our home I would do detailed carvings for the trims and also ceiling art. I have made our picture frames, stand-up ash trays for outside.
After my father passed away last year I decided to move to his home he left me in Ellensburg, WA.
I decided I wanted to pursue my passion of wood carvings and get out of the construction business.
So here I am.
I can take almost any picture and turn it into a 3-D carving.
